Before deciding on my procedure, I did extensive research. Living just outside London, I had plenty of clinics to choose from, but Berkeley Medical quickly stood out. Every time I made an enquiry, they responded promptly—often within just a few hours, even on weekends or evenings, which really impressed me.
I booked a consultation, and both Mr Shoaib and Sanjay were incredibly helpful and reassuring. After reading everything I could find and feeling confident with my decision, I booked my surgery.
I had the procedure in January 2025 as a day case. The nurse who looked after me was kind and attentive. I saw Mr Shoaib and the anaesthetist beforehand—both made me feel calm and well looked after. This was my first operation, so I was a bit nervous, but the team were so reassuring that I don’t even remember being put to sleep.
I woke up groggy and slightly nauseous, but otherwise fine. After getting dressed, having my observations checked, and eating a meal, transport was arranged for me to go home.
The first and second days were rough, as expected, but I had no real pain. I didn’t even use the painkillers provided by the clinic. Swelling around my eyes lasted about a week, and bruising under the eyes cleared in around two weeks. After a week, the splint was removed—no issues at all. My nose was swollen and numb at first, but that resolved over time.
I’m very happy with my choice. Mr Shoaib did a magnificent job—my nose looks corrected, yet still completely natural and proportional to my features. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Berkeley Medical to anyone considering this type of procedure.
