Dr. Dervenis specializes in Modern Cataract and Retina Surgery, Laser Eye Surgery, and General Eye Conditions. He is one of the few Ophthalmic Surgeons who have completed post-residency fellowship training in major United Kingdom Eye Hospitals for anterior (cataract, etc.) and posterior (retina, etc.) segments of eye surgery.
Dr. Dervenis regularly performs high-volume cataract surgery, receiving several referrals from other ophthalmologists for routine and complex cases (only-eye patients, brunescent cataracts, small pupils, angle closure, vitrectomised eyes, etc). He regularly uses Premium Intraocular Lenses, incorporating the latest technology on the field in his practice. Dr. Dervenis has performed over 4000 cataract surgeries in his career.
He also performs high-volume retina surgery (straightforward and complex), receiving regular referrals from a vast network of ophthalmologists for several eye conditions such as Epiretinal Membranes, Macular Holes, Vitreous Haemorrhages, Retinal Detachments, Scleral Fixation of Intraocular Lenses, etc. Dr. Dervenis has performed over 1,500 vitrectomies in his career.
