Whilst on holiday my daughter was unfortunately taken very ill. She ended up having a ruptured appendix and was immediately operated on. The care we received at the Memorial hospital was amazing. The hospital was spotless and regularly cleaned.
The nurses who looked after her were so caring, kind and loving. They went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable. Although most of our communication was through Google translate, the empathy they showed to us was second to none.
The translators were also so helpful and kind. They made a difficult experience feel slightly easier explaining every step of the way. The translation team were available 24/7 and would regularly check in during our 10 day stay.
An extra special thanks to Ahmet, he helped us so much from arranging details with the travel insurance company and just genuinely caring about our family.
Lastly, a HUGE thank you to Dr Mithat Gunaydin who performed the operation and took such great care of our daughter.
What was a terrifying experience, especially whilst being on holiday was eased with all of the staff at the Memorial hospital.
We will forever be grateful for the care that our daughter received from the minute she was admitted to leaving the hospital after a 10 day stay.

Overall, the hospital is impressively stylish, modern, and immaculately clean, with excellent facilities.
We visited with our 4-year-old, who was experiencing a suspected allergic reaction to antibiotics and developed a full-body rash. The pediatric doctor we saw was wonderfully friendly and clearly very experienced with children, which gave us great reassurance.
The reason I did not give a full 5 stars comes down to two points:
Communication was sometimes difficult, as only a few administrators spoke English. Most of the doctors and nurses we encountered were native Turkish speakers, which makes things challenging for international patients.
On arrival, we noticed the hostesses, dressed in chic red uniforms, gathered outside the main entrance smoking and vaping at the café. First impressions matter, and this doesn’t align with the image a healthcare provider should promote.
As a newly opened hospital, it was impressive, but a little more refinement is needed. If I had visited for an emergency, the lack of language communication would have been stressful.

Prof. Dr. İlter ALKAN was really unprofessional , he didn't care about the patient. He was just there earn his monthly salary. My wife went to him for her health problems, 3 times. And the all times she went there we felt like he was speaking like we met first time. I'd highly avoid him. He is just trying to earn money for the hospital. Asking unnecessary tests which cost a fortune. Stay away!
