I decided to visit Zirve Dental Clinic for what was supposed to be a high-quality, professional treatment. Unfortunately, my experience turned into an ongoing nightmare that has seriously affected my health and daily life.
I paid for 26 individual zirconia crowns, but the clinic fitted block crowns instead (several teeth connected together) without my knowledge. I only found out about this fact during the final cementation stage, when it was already too late to change anything. After the treatment, due to pain and several problems, I had to visit specialists back home. Two independent dental specialists have since confirmed that in my case there was no medical reason for using block crowns and that this treatment was inappropriate and harmful. And I should change replace blocks with individual crowns ASAP.
The clinic claims I signed a consent form, but this happened very late during my last appointment (the cementation process), just before flying home when I had no real choice and was reassured that “this is a better option.” In reality, I was presented with a fait accompli, not a genuine choice. It became clear to me later that the clinic made this decision for their own financial benefit, as block crowns are cheaper, quicker, and easier to produce compared to individual crowns.
However, for patients like me, without any specific dental condition that would justify such a solution, this approach is completely inappropriate and should never have been used, especially not without my explicit and informed consent given well in advance, rather than during the cementation appointment right before my flight home.
As a result, I have been suffering from:
-Constant pain, still ongoing (2 months after treatment, living on strong pain killers).
-Difficulty chewing, forcing me to eat only soft food and liquids.
-A speech problem (lisp) that affects my work and confidence, as the teeth are connected and too long.
-Gum inflammation and hygiene problems, again because the crowns are connected
-Tooth damage caused by careless work
I have contacted the clinic multiple times to resolve this issue, but my messages were ignored for a long time and then dismissed without any justification.
All I have ever asked for is a fair resolution, so I can correct the damage.
I am sharing my story so that others can make an informed decision and avoid going through the same experience.
