Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdulcabbar Kartal is a distinguished colorectal and general surgeon practicing at Anadolu Medical Center in Istanbul. With over 17 years of surgical experience, he specializes in colorectal surgery, HIPEC (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy) for peritoneal cancers, bariatric surgery, and minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Kartal graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2007 and completed his general surgery specialization at Istanbul Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital (2007-2013). He served as Assistant Professor at Istanbul Okan University (2016-2020) before receiving his Associate Professor title in 2020. In 2021, he earned the prestigious FEBS-C certification from the European Society of Coloproctology and became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Kartal has published over 40 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and is an active member of the Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, European Society of Coloproctology, and Turkish Surgical Association.

Dr. Sedat Karademir is a general surgeon focused on hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery and liver transplantation. Since 2024, he has been a general surgery specialist and department coordinator at Anadolu Medical Centre Hospital. He previously led Organ Transplantation and HPB Surgery at Ankara Güven Hospital.
He graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine (1979–1985). He completed his residency at Izmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital (1988–1993). He trained in organ transplantation as a clinical fellow at Rush-Presbyterian–St. Luke’s in Chicago (1994–1997). He also worked as a researcher with the UCLA Liver Transplant Program.
He served as associate professor and later professor of general surgery at Dokuz Eylul University. He was on the faculty of its Liver Transplantation and HPB Surgical Unit. His memberships include the Turkish Surgical Society, Turkish HPB Surgery Society, Liver Transplantation Society, IHPBA, and ELTR.
