Abdullah Eren

Dr. Abdullah Eren is a professor of orthopedic surgery at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital. He developed a new technique for modified Salter osteotomy. This surgical method eliminates the use of pins for internal fixation when treating hip dysplasia. Because it removes the need for hardware, this technique reduces the risk of complications related to pins.

Clinical Specialization and Techniques

Dr. Eren treats pediatric orthopedic conditions and performs adult hip surgery. He focuses on conditions like Perthes disease — a rare childhood condition where the blood supply to the hip bone is interrupted. The doctor also treats pediatric trauma and injuries. Additionally, he performs Ilizarov surgery to correct bone deformities and lengthen limbs through external fixation.
