Dr. Melek Gozde Lus is a child psychiatrist and a member of the American Association of Adolescent Psychiatry. She contributed to Turkey’s Autism Action Plan by training family physicians in early diagnosis. This training plan was initiated by the Ministry of Health. Dr. Lus currently practices at NP Istanbul Brain Hospital, the second-largest brain hospital in Europe.

Clinical Focus and Expertise

Dr. Lus treats neurodevelopmental disorders, specifically ADHD, dyslexia, and Asperger syndrome. She provides care for children and adolescents with autism. She also treats mental health conditions including anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Her approach combines medical diagnosis with psychotherapeutic interventions.

The doctor uses various therapeutic techniques to help young patients reach developmental milestones. These include:
