術後の注意事項は、もう少し改善の余地があると思います。私は、何をすべきか、すべきでないか、そしてその期間がどのくらい続くかについて、一般的なガイドを作成するよう提案しました。何が正常なのか、何かおかしいと感じた場合は誰に連絡すべきかなどです。これは海外からの患者さんにとって大いに役立つだけでなく、病院のコーディネーターが複数の患者さんから一斉に大量の質問を浴びせられる事態を防ぐことにもつながると思います。患者さんにとっては安心感が得られ、コーディネーターにとっても少しは負担が軽減されるでしょう。食事はトルコ人患者向けに用意されているため、海外からの患者には食べづらい場合があります。この点についても、朝食時に食物繊維が豊富なシリアルを小箱で用意したり、昼食にはフルコースの食事の代わりに、サンドイッチやロールパン、ベーグル、焼き菓子などのシンプルなものを提供したりするよう提案しました。夕食は概ね問題なく、ほとんどを食べることができましたが、日中の食事は提供されている量に比べてやや少なく、食品廃棄物も多かったです。もし外国人患者の食事ニーズに対応できれば、廃棄物を最小限に抑え、その費用を他の用途に充てることができるはずです。
