Onur Shahin

Onur Shahin is a maxillofacial surgeon at WestDent Clinic. He performed the first zygomatic and transnasal implantations in Turkey. This technique uses longer implants to secure teeth in the cheekbones or nasal bones when the jawbone is too thin. He treats patients with zygomatic and pterygoid implants and has treated 100 patients using these methods. Dr. Shahin is an Associate Professor who contributes to stem cell research at Ege University.

Academic and Professional Background

Dr. Shahin has worked in clinical practice and academic leadership since 2017. He is an academician in the Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Izmir Katip Celebi University. He also pursues a doctorate in stem cells at the Ege University Faculty of Medicine. This research earned him the rank of Associate Professor in 2021.
