Tolga Karakan

Prof. Dr. Tolga Karakan is an academic and surgeon working in the fields of endourology, urooncology, robotic surgery, and andrology. He completed his medical education at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2004 and received his urology specialty education from Ankara Training and Research Hospital. he worked at Ardahan Military Hospital between 2010-2011; He earned the title of associate professor in 2017 and professor in 2022. Prof., who focuses his academic and surgical work particularly on minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques. Dr. Karakan has extensive clinical experience in the fields of kidney stone diseases, prostate surgery, bladder diseases, kidney tumors, and male reproductive health. He has contributed to a large number of scientific studies, papers and publications on endoscopic stone surgery, robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery and andrological surgeries at national and international levels.

Prof. who takes an active role in scientific education activities. Dr. Karakan has been involved in the education of specialist students and has participated as a speaker, session chair, and trainer in national and international congresses. In his academic studies, he focuses especially on current surgical technologies, patient safety, functional outcomes and approaches to improving quality of life.

Prof. Dr. Karakan is an active member of various national and international scientific organizations, especially the Turkish Urology Association, the Endourology Association, the Turkish Andrology Association, the European Association of Urology and the European Society for Sexual Medicine.
