A licensed, board-certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Phillip completed medical school in 1991 at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. She then completed her residency in anesthesiology at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, and became board certified in anesthesiology in 1997.

Dr. Phillip graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Medgar Evers College of the City University of New York in Brooklyn in 1986. Her academic honors at Medgar Evers College include National Dean’s List and the Myrlie Evers Award, Academic Excellence in 1986.

A prolific writer and accomplished presenter, he has given presentations for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and many others and been published in The American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery, on Medforum.com, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Headache and the Proceedings of the American Association for Hand Surgery.
