Yang Young-Joon, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and Director of the Joint Center. He treats knee and shoulder disorders, sports injuries, foot and ankle problems, carpal tunnel syndrome, and fractures and other trauma. Professor Omer Faruk Bilgen is an experienced orthopedist-traumatologist with over 35 years in the field. He specializes in total knee, hip, and shoulder replacement surgeries. He also focuses on revision arthroplasty, femoral osteotomy, and the treatment of hip dislocation and avascular necrosis (AVN).

Prof. Bilgen performs about 650 orthopedic surgeries each year. This high number shows his skill and the trust patients place in him. He became a Professor in 2002. He has also worked as an Education Advisor and Lecturer for STRYKER, USA. Prof. Bilgen has published many academic papers and often presents new surgical techniques at international conferences.

He is the President of the Turkish Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Association. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and holds leadership positions in other medical organizations.

Prof. Dr. Halil Ibrahim Bekler was born in Istanbul in 1960. He completed his primary school education in Istanbul. He finished High School in Saint-Joseph in 1979. In 1985 he graduated from the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. In the same year, he started to work as a resident doctor at Tokat Akbelen Health Center. Between 1987 and 1991, he specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology at SiSli Etfal Hospital. Between 1993 and 1994, he worked as an assistant professor at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine in Diyarbakır, Turkey. Later, he worked as the Head of the Orthopedic and Traumatology Surgery Department at American Hospital. In 1999, he studied microsurgery at Cleveland Medical Center.
He worked as a specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology Microsurgery in many private hospitals in Istanbul. Between 2006-2007, he worked as a Hand and Microsurgery Specialist at Columbia University School of Medicine. In 2008, he became an associate professor of orthopedics at Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine. Between 2009 and 2015, he worked as Chief of Orthopedics at Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Hospital and he trained many Assistant Specialists. He became Professor in 2016.
