Since the beginning of my professional activity I have been actively involved in the scientific life of the specialty:

∙ President of the Catalan-Balearic Society of Maxillofacial and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 2003-2007.

∙ Member of the Board of Directors of the International Academy of Piezosurgery
∙ Member of the National Commission of Maxillofacial Surgery
I am a co-author of the books "Basic Handbook of Implantology" and "Advanced Implant Surgery". I have also written numerous book chapters and scientific journal articles.
I have also taught numerous courses and conferences at national and international events.
Until 2007, I dedicated my career to community medicine at the Vall d'Hebron Hospital, where I was responsible for the training of resident physicians who had completed their training there. I also worked as a teacher for undergraduate students.

REALIZATION OF THE RESIDENCE
As Resident Internal Physician at the Hospital de la SS."La Paz" in Madrid in the Specialty of ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY during the years 1985-1990.
WORK CARRIED OUT AS A SPECIALIST MEDICAL
On February 1, 1990, he was hired as Interim Area Specialist Physician in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital de la SS."La Paz" in Madrid.

On February 1, 2009, appointment as Head of the Maxillofacial Surgery Service at Hospital Sanitas "La Moraleja".
On January 1, 2013, he was appointed Head of Service at Hospital Sanitas "La Zarzuela".
On January 1, 2017, appointment of Head of Service of the "Ruber Juan Bravo" hospital complex of the Quirónsalud Group.
Dr. Jose Hinojosa Mena-Bernal is a Spanish pediatric neurosurgeon. He specializes in neuro-oncology, neuroendoscopy, maxillofacial, and minimally invasive surgery. He leads the Neurosurgery Department at Sant Joan De Déu Children’s Hospital. Dr. Hinojosa has also held leadership positions at other major hospitals in Spain.
He has written 93 scientific papers. Dr. Hinojosa works as an editor and reviewer for leading neurosurgical journals. He is President of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery. He is also an active member of international groups such as ISPN and EANS. His roles show his strong reputation and influence in pediatric neurosurgery.
