Dr. Nermina Alagic is an attending cardiologist at Anadolu Medical Center in Istanbul, a Johns Hopkins Medicine affiliate. She graduated from Istanbul University–Cerrahpaşa. She completed her cardiology residency at Istanbul Mehmet Akif Ersoy Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Hospital (2014–2018). She focuses on cardiac imaging. She has expertise in 2D/3D transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography (TTE/TEE). She advanced this training through research at the UAB Echo Lab (2015) and hands-on 2D/3D TEE work in the TEE Lab (2018–2019).

Her research covers photomedicine and cardiology. Her papers appear in Journal of Biomedical Optics, PNAS, Photochemistry and Photobiology, Echocardiography, Minerva Cardioangiologica, and Archives of Medical Science (2013–2020). She completed a clinical and interventional cardiology observership at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney (2019). She also worked at the Harvard Medical School Wellman Center for Photomedicine (2012–2013). She is a full member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology, and an EACVI silver member. Award: ASP Fredrick Urbach Memorial Student Travel Award (2013).

Dr. Yigit Changa is an Associate Professor of Cardiology. He received advanced training at Dr. Siyami Ersek Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital. He became a cardiology specialist in 2016 and completed his residency in 2010. Dr. Changa is a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and the Turkish Medical Association.

He has worked at leading hospitals, including Ataşehir and Kadıköy Florence Nightingale Hospitals. Dr. Changa speaks English fluently. He has a solid academic and clinical background in cardiology.

Dr. Cenk İndelen is a cardiovascular surgery specialist. He has practiced since 2002. He has worked at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital since 2025. He completed his residency in thoracic, cardiovascular, and vascular surgery at Kocaeli University (1996–2002). He became an associate professor in 2023.

His focus is patient blood management and cardiothoracic optimization. He has published on transfusion cost-effectiveness and PBM implementation (Cardiovasc J Afr, 2023). Prof. Dr. Rifat Eralp Ulusoy is a cardiologist specialized in clinical cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging. He focuses on echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and stress echocardiography. He also treats heart valve disease, hypertension, heart failure, and cardiomyopathies. Prof. Murat Sünbül is a Professor of Cardiology at İstinye University, Topkapı Liv Hospital (2025–present). He earned his M.D. from Istanbul University in 2005 and completed a cardiology residency at Marmara University in 2010. From 2011 to 2025, he served at Marmara University as a Cardiology Specialist, and then as Assistant, Associate, and Professor.

Expertise includes complex coronary interventions and coronary imaging (FFR, OCT, IVUS). He performs peripheral, carotid, and renal artery interventions and denervation. He treats structural and valve disease (ASD/PFO closure, TAVI). He provides device therapy (LBB pacing, ICD, CRT). He uses advanced imaging (TEE, 3D echo, speckle tracking) and performs right heart catheterization. He also manages heart failure, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and pulmonary hypertension.

He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers in national and international journals. His work has appeared in Herz, The Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon, Cardiology Journal, and Wiener Klinische Wochenschrift.

Dr. Gokhan Ertas is a Professor of Cardiology. He has broad experience in ischemic heart disease, cardiac arrhythmias, and heart failure. He specializes in advanced interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary angiography, stent placement, and percutaneous valve interventions such as TAVI and MitraClip. Dr. Ertas is skilled in both diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. These include 3D echocardiography, CT coronary angiography, and various cardiac catheterization methods.

Dr. Ertas earned his medical degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his cardiology residency at Kocaeli University. In 2020, he became a Professor of Cardiology. Prof. Dr. Deniz Süha Küçükaksu is a cardiovascular surgeon with over 35 years of experience. He specializes in adult and pediatric cardiac surgery, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. He leads the Heart Transplantation and Artificial Heart Center at Başkent University Istanbul Hospital.

Dr. Küçükaksu completed his medical and surgical training in Turkey. He also received advanced fellowships in Germany, France, and the United States. His focus has been on LVAD systems and heart failure surgery.

He introduced mechanical circulatory support and artificial heart programs in Turkey. He has performed many types of surgeries, including coronary bypass (off-pump), valve replacements, aortic repair (EVAR/TEVAR), and reoperations. He has also established heart transplant centers at several institutions.

Dr. Küçükaksu has held senior academic and administrative roles. He has contributed to total artificial heart surgery and hybrid cardiovascular procedures. He has received national and international awards for his scientific and surgical work.
