Professor Marek Ehrlich is a cardiac surgeon at University Hospital Vienna. He has led the hospital’s aneurysm program since 2010. He graduated from the Medical University of Vienna and specializes in cardiac surgery. He has also trained internationally at Stanford, Birmingham, Houston, and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

Dr. Ehrlich has published over 100 scientific articles on aneurysm surgery. He has led research in neuroprotection and endovascular techniques. He has received several international awards for his work. Dr. Ehrlich often speaks at major global conferences. He is fluent in English and Polish.

Dr. Walter Klepetko is a Professor and Head of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at MedUni Vienna and Vienna General Hospital. He is an expert in thoracic surgery, lung transplantation, surgery for bronchial carcinoma, and pulmonary hypertension.

He founded one of the world’s largest lung transplant programs. His team performs over 100 lung transplants each year. In 2018, Dr. Klepetko led the team that performed Niki Lauda’s lung transplant. He is a former president of the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery. He also serves on the board of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery.

Dr. Klepetko has received the Grand Decoration of Honor for services to the Austrian Republic. He was also awarded the City of Vienna Prize for Medical Sciences for his medical and scientific contributions.

Dr. Irene Marthe Lang is a leading cardiologist and vascular surgeon at Vienna General Hospital (AKH). She is also a Professor at the Medical University of Vienna. Dr. Lang introduced Austria’s method for widening narrowed pulmonary vessels. She leads research in cardiopulmonary medicine, hemodynamics, and vascular interventions.

Dr. Lang graduated with highest honors, “sub auspiciis praesidentis.” She received national recognition, including an honorary order for her services to Austria in 2016. She leads research teams and manages a modern catheter laboratory. Dr. Lang is known for her work in pulmonary hypertension, vascular biology, and myocardial regeneration.

Experience

On his return from London, he organized and directed the Arrhythmia Unit of the Cardiology Service of the Nuestra Señora del Pino University Hospital in Las Palmas until the year 2000.

Later he was associate head of the Arrhythmia Unit and Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory of the Fundación Jiménez Díaz in Madrid.

Professor of Cardiology at the Autonomous University and Fellowship Program Director of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (Heart Rhythm Society) positions that he held for 6 years until his transfer to the Quirónsalud Madrid University Hospital in 2006.

Dr. Cabrera has been the head of the Cardiology service at the Quirónsalud Madrid University Hospital since the hospital began operating in 2006.

Since January 2013, he is also head of the Cardiology Unit of the Ruber Juan Bravo Hospital Complex and in 2022 head of service of the new Olympia center.

He is a professor at the European University of Madrid where he directs the Chair of Clinical and Basic Translational Cardiology.

Wissarut Sakulpaptong, M.D., is a board-certified cardiologist and a cardiology staff member at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. He specializes in advanced echocardiography. His work includes transthoracic and transesophageal studies, strain analysis, 3D and stress echocardiography, and imaging for congenital heart disease. He also holds an M.Sc. (Medicine) from Chulalongkorn University.

His leadership roles include Chief Fellow (2024) and Chief Resident (2022). His awards include Second Prize at the 2025 Echocardiography Annual Scientific Meeting (Heart Association of Thailand), 2021 Outstanding Second-Year Resident, and 2017 Outstanding Medical Graduate. He developed an NSTEMI care pathway, a Screening Echocardiogram Project, and a Home-Visit Warfarin Clinic. He presented research on sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction. He also contributed to Thailand’s 2022 migraine guideline.

Prof. Murat Sünbül is a Professor of Cardiology at İstinye University, Topkapı Liv Hospital (2025–present). He earned his M.D. from Istanbul University in 2005 and completed a cardiology residency at Marmara University in 2010. From 2011 to 2025, he served at Marmara University as a Cardiology Specialist, and then as Assistant, Associate, and Professor.

Expertise includes complex coronary interventions and coronary imaging (FFR, OCT, IVUS). He performs peripheral, carotid, and renal artery interventions and denervation. He treats structural and valve disease (ASD/PFO closure, TAVI). He provides device therapy (LBB pacing, ICD, CRT). He uses advanced imaging (TEE, 3D echo, speckle tracking) and performs right heart catheterization. He also manages heart failure, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and pulmonary hypertension.

He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers in national and international journals. His work has appeared in Herz, The Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon, Cardiology Journal, and Wiener Klinische Wochenschrift.

Professor Byung-Hee Oh, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist at Incheon Sejong Hospital. He graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine. He completed training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Seoul National University Hospital. His clinical focus includes heart failure, coronary artery disease, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and preventive cardiology.

He served as Professor of Cardiology at Seoul National University. He also served as Director of a cardiovascular center and Head of the Division of Cardiology. He was President of the Korean Society of Cardiology and led national heart failure and hypertension groups. He has authored hundreds of peer-reviewed publications. He has given invited lectures at major international cardiology conferences and received national honors.

Professor Sung-Ho Kim, MD, MS, PhD, is a pediatric cardiologist and congenital heart disease specialist with more than 40 years of experience. He trained at Hanyang University College of Medicine (MD) and Hanyang University Graduate School (MS, PhD). He helped advance catheter-based treatment of ASD, VSD, tetralogy of Fallot, and other defects. This work reduced the need for open-heart surgery. He has performed more than 1,200 pediatric and congenital cardiac interventions.

He has led academic and clinical programs. He contributes to research and training. He also participates in professional cardiology societies and presents at international conferences.

Dr. Ibrahim Uyar is a Cardiovascular Surgery Specialist with over 20 years of experience. He has worked at top hospitals in Türkiye, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. His previous roles include positions at Memorial Bodrum Hospital, Tepecik Training and Research Hospital, and Istanbul JFK Hospital.

Dr. Uyar completed his cardiovascular surgery training at Istanbul Kosuyolu Heart Training and Research Hospital. He earned his medical degree from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Mustafa Emiroglu is a general surgery specialist at Memorial Bodrum Hospital. He has significant experience from his work at Sağlık Bilimleri University Tepecik SUAM (2016–2023) and Kırşehir Hospital (1997–1999).

He earned his medical degree from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. He completed his specialization at Tepecik Training and Research Hospital. Dr. Emiroglu is a member of the Turkish Society of Surgery, the Endocrine Surgery Association, and the Colorectal Surgery Association.

He has attended advanced courses, including the Europe Senology Academia. He has also received training in proctologic, hemorrhoidal, and oncoplastic breast surgery, as well as thyroid diseases.

Dr. Ahmet Zengin is a Cardiology Specialist at Memorial Bodrum Hospital in Istanbul. He has broad experience in cardiology.
