Dr. Tommaso Grandi graduated with honors in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2004. In 2007, he was awarded a research fellowship at the Department of Neurosciences, Head and Neck Rehabilitation at the same university.

From 2008 to 2013, he served as Adjunct Professor of Periodontology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

In 2013, he founded the Tommaso Grandi Dental Clinic, a center dedicated to clinical care, scientific research, and professional training in the field of dental implantology.

After graduated from Ege University, Faculty of Dentistry in 2003 he started his PhD education in the Department of Periodontology, Institute of Health in the same university. Having completed the PhD education in 2009 he started to work as a research assistant in Ege University Faculty of Dentistry Department of Periodontology.

He became Assoc.Prof in 2015 and continued both clinical and academic research. In 2022 he became full professor and have published more than 30 studies in well-known scientific journals. He developed a connective tissue graft harvesting tool (Nizam Punch), which is being produced in Germany and two implant systems which are being used in many countries. He still keeps his academic position in Ege University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology.

Интересы доктора Онура Шахина включают в себя передовую имплантологию, аугментацию твердых и мягких тканей атрофированных челюстей, лечение all-on-X, скуловые, крыловидные и трансназальные имплантаты, медикаментозный остеонекроз челюсти (MRONJ), а также стволовые клетки и регенеративную терапию. Он был приглашенным докладчиком на многих национальных и международных симпозиумах по имплантологии и челюстно-лицевой хирургии и провел множество практических и кадаверных курсов по имплантологии. Доктор Шахин, который выполнил первый случай с имплантатами скуловой кости, крыловидной кости и трансназальной имплантации в Турции, имеет более 100 пациентов, прошедших лечение с помощью этих имплантатов. Он опубликовал более 50 статей в национальных и международных журналах и более 100 постеров/устных докладов, представленных на национальных и международных конгрессах, связанных с его научной областью.
