Nihal Özaras graduated from IU Cerrahpaşa English Faculty of Medicine in 1998 and completed her specialty training at Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital (now Bezmialem University). She traveled to the USA in 2008 to improve her clinical skills and worked as an observer physician at Harvard University Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston for 3 months.
