この治療法は、ソマトスタチン受容体を発現する腫瘍細胞に特異的に結合するDOTAベースの標的分子に結合したベータ線放出放射性同位元素であるルテチウム-177を使用します。細胞内に取り込まれると、ルテチウム-177は治療用放射線を放出し、腫瘍細胞のDNAを損傷させることで、制御された腫瘍細胞の破壊をもたらします。ベータ線は組織透過範囲が中程度であるため、確立された良好な安全性プロファイルを維持しながら、腫瘍病変に対する効果的な治療が可能です。
