Dr. Mert Tanal is a General Surgery Specialist at Memorial Şişli Hospital (2024–present). He previously worked at Acıbadem Maslak Hospital (2023–2024) and Tekirdağ Dr. İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital (2021–2023). He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Health Sciences Şişli Hamidiye Etfal (2016–2021). He earned his M.D. from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa (2009–2015).
He holds the European Board of Surgery Qualification in General Surgery (2022). He took the Turkish Surgical Society Proficiency Exam (2021). He has published 28 articles in international indexed journals and 10 in national peer-reviewed journals. He has 46 conference presentations and posters.
He is a member of the Turkish Medical Association, Turkish Surgical Society, Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, National Trauma and Emergency Surgery Association, ESSO, EAES, and the American College of Surgeons. His training includes IRCAD Robotic Surgery in Strasbourg (2022) and SENATURK Breast Surgery (2020–2021).
