Treatment Principle:Through femoral artery catheterization, Yttrium-90 (Y-90)radioactive microspheres are selectively delivered into thearteries supplying the liver tumor. The microspherescontinuously emit short-range beta (β) radiation, delivering ahigh dose of localized internal radiation directly to the tumorwhile causing minimal damage to surrounding healthy livertissue. This procedure is a form of selective internal radiationtherapy (SIRT).
Expected Outcomes:For patients with unresectable intermediate- oradvanced-stage liver cancer, Y-90 radioembolization provideshighly targeted, high-dose radiotherapy to the tumor, helpingto reduce tumor size and activity. In selected patients, it maydownstage the tumor, making surgical resection possible. The treatment may also prolong overall survival, relieve symptomssuch as liver pain, and is generally associated with mild sideeffects and a manageable impact on liver function.4. He focuses on pain management, palliative care, and psychological support in advanced cancer. He also works on the clinical use and study of tumor immunotherapy, including personalized mRNA vaccines and CAR-T therapy. He develops and applies proprietary drugs and related technologies.
