Dr. Serdar Aslan is a Professor of Hematology. He is a specialist in Internal Medicine and Hematology at Medstar Antalya Hospital and Memorial Antalya Hospital. He served at Dokuz Eylül University from 1998 to 2024. He was a visiting physician in Hematology and the Blood Bank at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital from 1997 to 1998.
He directed the Blood Center and Apheresis Unit at Dokuz Eylül University from 1998 to 2022. He is on the editorial board of Transfusion and Apheresis Science. He was Vice President of the World Apheresis Association from 2016 to 2018. He was President of the Turkish Society of Apheresis from 2014 to 2018. He has been a Board Member and Treasurer of the Turkish Society of Hematology since 2021. He has 263 peer-reviewed publications, including 118 SCI-indexed papers. His work has 4,815 citations and an H-index of 22. He has been an invited speaker at 120 congresses. He is a member of ASH and the European Mantle Cell Lymphoma Network.
