Professor Chugh is considered the father of nephrology in India and has the most experience in kidney transplants among Indian doctors. The doctor has performed over 6,000 successful kidney transplants.
He was the first specialist in India to perform kidney biopsy and kidney transplant surgery. Kirpal Singh Chagh published over 500 scientific papers, including articles in journals of Oxford, Harvard and other elite educational institutions.
