Özlem Çolak graduated with high honors from Kabataş Erkek High School in 2000 and went on to begin her medical education at Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine, graduating as the top student of her class in 2006. During her medical studies, she completed an internship at Humboldt University in Berlin.
After completing her mandatory service following graduation, she began her specialization in 2008 at Ankara Training and Research Hospital in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, which she completed successfully. During her residency, she aimed to broaden her perspective by working in several Plastic Surgery Clinics in Germany to enhance her knowledge and experience. After becoming a specialist, she fulfilled her compulsory service in Sinop.
In 2014, she began working as a surgeon at Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital. During this period, she published numerous national and international articles and participated as a speaker in many meetings and congresses. She was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2019.
In 2023, she continued her academic work both at her private clinic and Demiroğlu Bilim University. In 2024, she received the title of Professor.
