He has developed a unique method for replacing heart valves on a working heart, enhancing cardiac surgery. Besides his surgical practice, Dr. Pevni is a lecturer at Tel Aviv University. His contributions to cardiac surgery include the most complex surgical operation on aortic valve transplantation for a patient with an artificial heart.
