Dr. Martin Schindl is a senior consultant at the University Hospital of Surgery, Vienna General Hospital. He specializes in surgery of the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, and bile ducts. He also focuses on surgical cancer therapy. Dr. Schindl leads the surgical outpatient clinic for pancreatic and biliary diseases. He coordinates the interdisciplinary pancreatic cancer group at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Vienna.

He is the General Secretary of the Austrian Society of Surgical Oncology. He has also held important leadership roles in surgical oncology organizations.
