Ferhat Ferhatoglu

Specialization and Research Focus

Dr. Ferhatoglu treats many types of cancers. He conducted research on outcomes for progressive medullary thyroid carcinoma. He also studies survival rates for elderly patients with cutaneous melanoma — a type of skin cancer that starts in pigment-producing cells.

His clinical work includes treating late recurrences in breast cancer survivors. He uses different systemic treatments for gastric cancer. He also performs high-dose chemotherapy followed by autologous stem cell transplantation — a procedure where a patient's own healthy stem cells are collected and returned after intense treatment.
