Prof. Ibrahim Cansaran Tanidir is a pediatric cardiologist at Memorial Ataşehir Hospital in Istanbul. He ranked second in Turkey on the 2017 National Pediatric Cardiology Board Certification Exam. He co-founded the Pediatric Cardiology Department at Başakşehir Çam & Sakura City Hospital. He also served as the administrative head of the clinic at that institution.
Clinical Focus and International Missions
Dr. Tanidir treats congenital and acquired heart diseases in children. He performs cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures. Since 2018, he has performed over 250 therapeutic angiography procedures. These procedures took place in Kosovo, Libya, Mali, Uganda, and Kenya during voluntary medical missions.
The professor also treats patients requiring advanced heart support. He received training in Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD) in 2023. These devices are mechanical pumps that help the heart circulate blood. He applies these methods to help children with severe heart failure.
