O Connor Reina

Dr. O'Connor Reina is an ENT specialist and the first doctor in Spain to place a soft palate implant. He developed the world’s first telemedicine app for sleep apnea treatment. He is also the President of the Spanish Commission of the Spanish Society of Respiratory Disorders.

Specialization and Sleep Medicine

Dr. O'Connor Reina treats sleep respiratory disorders and performs head and neck surgery. These procedures include surgery for hearing loss, sleep apnea, nasal polyps, and deviated septums. He also performs cochlear implants, tympanoplasty, and voice surgery.

The specialist introduced myofunctional therapy to Spanish sleep units to treat obstructive sleep apnea. This therapy provides a way to improve muscle function in the airway. He also authored the first manuscript on using radiofrequency for nasal turbinate hypertrophy in children. His work includes study of the ear, upper airways, salivary glands, and oral cavity.
