Dr. Mustafa Yavuz Samanci is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Medipol Acıbadem District Hospital in Istanbul. He has specialized training in stereotactic, functional, and pediatric neurosurgery. Dr. Samanci completed a clinical fellowship in Gamma Knife Radiosurgery. He has also finished advanced programs in spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation. He received several TÜBİTAK postdoctoral research fellowships and the Prof. Dr. Hakan Caner Overseas Education Scholarship from the Turkish Neurosurgical Society.

Dr. Samanci is an active member of several national and international neurosurgical societies. Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Kılıç graduated from Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2007. He completed his Brain and Nerve Surgery specialization training in Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, Neurosurgery Clinic in 2013.

He worked as a Specialist at Malatya State Hospital between 2013-2015 and as Assistant Professor at Harran University between 2015-2016. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2020 in Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, Brain and Nerve Surgery Clinic, where he worked between 2016-2022.

Dr. Melek Gozde Lus graduated from the Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine in 1999. She completed her residency in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Capa) in 2008. She then served at Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital from 2008 to 2010.

She focuses on ADHD, dyslexia, autism and Asperger syndrome, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. She also treats developmental delays, anxiety, and OCD. Her training includes CBT (basic and supervision) for children and adolescents. She is trained in child-centered and CBT play therapy, and in filial therapy with structured play and art. Prof. Dr. Mert Yilmaz is a board-certified cardiovascular surgeon with more than 30 years of experience. He specializes in both adult and pediatric cardiac surgery. He graduated from Istanbul University in 1988. He completed his residency at Uludag University and received further training at the Royal South Hants Hospital in the UK.

Dr. Yilmaz was among the first in Turkey to perform endovascular repair of abdominal aneurysms. He completed the country’s second case. He has led cardiovascular surgery departments at leading hospitals. He now heads the department at Kadıköy Florence Nightingale Hospital. He is also a full professor at Halic University and an international member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (USA).

Dr. Yilmaz has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles, including 7 first-in-literature reports. He holds accreditations from the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Dr. Ergun Tozkoparan is a pulmonologist with expertise in diagnosing and treating lung diseases. He has a special focus on tuberculosis. He received his medical degree from GATA Military Medical School in 1989. He completed his pulmonology training at GATA, Ankara in 1996.

Dr. Tozkoparan has worked in leading hospitals in Turkey. He also served as a professor at the GATA Department of Pulmonology. He gained further experience in interventional pulmonology during a year at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center.

In 2007, Dr. Tozkoparan published research in CCLM. He showed important changes in platelet indices in patients with tuberculosis. This work helped improve how the disease is monitored and managed.

Dr. Ayse Yesim Oral is an Ophthalmology Specialist at Memorial Ataşehir Hospital in Istanbul. She has more than 25 years of experience. She has worked at Afyonkarahisar University of Health Sciences and Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Training and Research Hospital. Dr. Oral earned her medical degree from Istanbul University. She completed her specialist training in ophthalmology at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Oral has published several articles on glaucoma, cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and pediatric ophthalmology. She is a member of the Turkish Ophthalmology Association, the Strabismus Unit, and the World Society of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Assoc. Dr. Kanay Yararbaş is a medical geneticist with 20 years of experience. He founded Sapiens Genetics and Health Services Inc. He is also the director of the company. Dr. Yararbaş is the Head of the Medical Genetics Department at Demiroğlu Bilim University Faculty of Medicine.

He holds the Clinical Laboratory Genetics Board certificate from the European Society of Human Genetics, which he received in 2018. He became an Associate Professor in 2019. Dr. Yararbaş is known for his work in genetics education and research.

Assoc. Prof.  Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz graduated from Hacettepe University in 2000 as a Medical Doctor.  She completed her specialty training in the Department of Neurology at Ankara University in 2006.

She started her compulsory service in Mardin Nusaybin State Hospital in 2007.  Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz continued her duty in Gaziantep 27 December State Hospital in 2008.  She worked as a neurologist at Biophysis Nilüfer Medical Center and Ali Osman Sönmez Oncology Hospital in Bursa between 2010-2011, and at Istanbul Universal Aksaray Hospital between 2011-2012. From October 2012, she started to work as a Doctor Lecturer in Istanbul Medipol University Neurology Department.  Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz received the title of associate professor in 2021.  In 2015, she worked as an Honorary Observer in Parkinson's Disease and Deep Brain Stimulation (Neuromodulation) at UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, National Hospital for Neurology in London.  She took part in many training programs on Deep Brain Stimulation (Neuromodulation) in Turkey and abroad between 2013-2022.

Regarding her speciality in Parkinson's disease and movement disorders, she has 5 Tubitak projects, a 2-chapter book , 30 clinical researches and 80 reports presented in domestic and abroad. Assoc. Prof. Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz, who is still working within the staff of Medipol University, managed the Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Unit of the Department of Neurology during her working time and plans Deep Brain Stimulation therapy applications with the neurosurgical team.

Since September 2018, she has been working as a coordinator for student education in the 5th semester of Neurology. As of December 2022, she has developed treatment plans for patients at Medipol University Istanbul Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PARMER) and provides the most appropriate personal medical follow-up and treatment support for each patient.
