PERCUTANEOUS (MINIMALLY INVASIVE) HALLUX VALGUS SURGERY:
Percutaneous (minimally invasive) hallux valgus surgery is an advanced technique used to correct bunion deformity through very small incisions, typically a few millimeters in size. Using specialized instruments and real-time imaging, the surgeon performs precise bone cuts (osteotomies) and realigns the big toe without the need for large open incisions. This method preserves soft tissues, reduces surgical trauma, and minimizes scarring. It is generally recommended for patients with mild to moderate hallux valgus deformity. Compared to traditional open surgery, percutaneous techniques offer advantages such as less postoperative pain, faster recovery, quicker return to daily activities, and improved cosmetic outcomes while effectively correcting the deformity.
There are two methods: Percutaneous (Minimally Invasive) and Lapidus 3D. The method can be determined upon receiving the foot X-ray.
