Endometriosis and Myomectomy Surgery – Patient Information Process
Endometriosis and myoma (fibroid) surgery is an advanced procedure that is planned individually based on the patient’s symptoms and clinical findings. It is typically performed using minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy or robotic surgery.
Preoperative Process:
For surgical planning, patients are advised to arrive at the hospital approximately 1–2 days before the procedure. During this time, a detailed gynecological examination, ultrasound, and, if necessary, MRI imaging are performed. Additionally, anesthesia evaluation and routine blood tests are completed.
Surgical Procedure:
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia. The goal is to remove endometriosis lesions and/or fibroids. The duration of the operation varies depending on the extent of the disease but typically lasts between 1 to 3 hours.
Postoperative Process:
Patients are usually monitored in the hospital for one day. Thanks to minimally invasive techniques, recovery is faster and associated with less pain. Most patients can return to their daily activities within 5–7 days, while full recovery may take several weeks.
After the operation, patients are supported with regular follow-ups and personalized treatment planning.
