Double eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty) is designed to create a natural, well-defined eyelid crease, helping the eyes appear larger, brighter, and more youthful. This procedure is ideal for individuals with monolids, uneven eyelids, or drooping upper eyelid skin.
At Somchai clinic, the surgery is performed using a laser-assisted incision technique, which minimizes bleeding, reduces swelling, and allows for a precise, clean crease line. During the procedure, excess skin and fat are carefully removed to correct eyelid heaviness and improve overall eye shape. The crease is then securely fixed to ensure long-lasting results without loosening over time.
The approach follows a Korean-style aesthetic, focusing on soft, natural-looking eyelids with a smooth curve, creating a brighter and more defined eye appearance while maintaining facial harmony.
The procedure takes approximately 60–90 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia. Patients can return home the same day without hospitalization.
After surgery, patients can return home the same day. Swelling and bruising are most noticeable during the first 2–3 days and gradually improve. Cold compress is recommended for the first 48 hours, followed by warm compress to reduce swelling.
Most patients can resume light daily activities within 3–5 days. Stitches are removed after 7 days, with follow-up appointments scheduled at 7 days, 1 month, and 3 months.
Final results become more natural within 2–3 months. Patients should avoid rubbing the eyes, smoking, and alcohol for at least 2 weeks, and sleep with the head elevated to reduce swelling.
