Rhinoplasty reshapes the nose to improve its appearance and its harmony with your face. It can also support easier breathing when needed. Your surgical plan is created together with your surgeon after a detailed consultation. The surgery is performed at Optimed International Hospital by Specialist Dr. Bilal Hamad, Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

Before your arrival
Your coordinator will tell you when to stop any medications. Please bring a list of your medications and previous medical reports.
If you smoke, you need to stop 2 to 4 weeks before surgery.
Your recovery timeline
- Day 1: Examination, tests and surgery take place on the day of your arrival. You stay overnight at the hospital with your companion.
- Day 2: Discharge and transfer to your hotel. Same-day discharge is possible in some cases.
- 3 days after surgery: Removal of the silicone nasal packs at the hospital.
- 7-10 days after surgery: Removal of the nasal splint and stitches at the hospital.
- 10-15 days after surgery: You can fly home, depending on your recovery.
- After 15 days: Return to daily life and work, depending on your job.
- Day 20: Final check-up, where your surgeon shows you the nasal massage. If you are back home, this is done online.
- Following months: Swelling decreases by about 70% in the first month. The nose reaches its final shape in 6 months to 1 year.
