A tummy tuck removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen, creating a flatter and firmer appearance. The surgery is performed at Optimed International Hospital by Specialist Dr. Bilal Hamad, Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

Before your arrival
- Please arrive at the hospital in the morning. Your examination, tests and surgery take place on the same day.
- If you smoke, you need to stop 2 to 4 weeks before surgery.
Your recovery timeline
- Days 1-2: Surgery and hospital stay. The length of your stay depends on your recovery.
- Day 3: Check-up and discharge, then transfer to your hotel.
- Day 7: Check-up at the hospital.
- Days 7-10: You can fly home.
- First 6 weeks: You wear a corset. Your surgeon will explain in detail how to use it.
- After about 2 weeks: Return to work, depending on your job.
- After about 6 weeks: Return to strenuous exercise, once your surgeon confirms.
- Following months: Your scar fades gradually. Final results appear in about 1 year.
