Before the appointment, we informed the patient that the first visit could be either a consultation or, if clinically indicated, include an extraction procedure performed by our oral surgeon. The final decision regarding any treatment is always made by the doctor after a clinical examination and assessment of the patient’s individual situation. If a tooth can be successfully treated and preserved, our specialists always consider this approach and avoid extraction whenever clinically possible. We understand that the outcome of the visit may not have fully matched the patient’s expectations.
