He earned his doctorate in human medicine from the University of Vienna in 1992. He was a research fellow at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess from 1993 to 1996. He completed specialist training in internal medicine from 1997 to 2004. He received his venia docendi and became an Associate University Professor in 2004. He completed specialist training in angiology from 2004 to 2007. He completed specialist training in cardiology from 2007 to 2010. He earned a Professional MBA in Health Care Management in 2014.
He has been a member of the vascular intervention team since 2001. He joined the cardiology intervention team in 2007. He has served as a senior physician since 2007. He has more than two decades of interventional experience in complex heart and vascular disease. His clinical focus includes personalized cardiovascular medicine, coronary and peripheral angiography and intervention, vein treatment, and health management.
