    Prof. Amit Tirosh is a senior endocrinologist and Head of the Neuroendocrine Tumors Service at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs).

Prof. Amit Tirosh is a senior endocrinologist with extensive expertise in the management of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). He serves as the Head of the Neuroendocrine Tumors Service at the Institute of Endocrinology, Sheba Medical Center.

His clinical and academic focus includes hereditary syndromes associated with neuroendocrine tumor development. Prof. Tirosh is affiliated with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the field of MEN1 syndrome. He is also part of an international expert panel on von Hippel–Lindau (VHL) disease and has contributed to clinical guidelines for the management of VHL patients. At Sheba Medical Center, he acts as the primary contact physician within the multidisciplinary VHL clinic.

Research and Academic Activity

Prof. Tirosh leads an active research program focused on bioinformatics in endocrine oncology, with particular emphasis on neuroendocrine tumors. As Head of the Endocrine Oncology Bioinformatics Laboratory, he collaborates with leading research institutions in the United States, Italy, and Germany, as well as with scientists from the Weizmann Institute of Science.

In his role at the Endocrinology and Diabetes Research Center, he provides patients with advanced, state-of-the-art treatment options for NETs. He is also actively involved in teaching and regularly lectures medical students at Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Medicine.
