Dr. Banu Atalar is a board-certified radiation oncologist (Türkiye, 2004). She is a Full Professor at Acibadem MAA University (2018–present) and a clinician at Anadolu Medical Center (2026–present). She trained at Istanbul and Cerrahpaşa. In 2011, she completed a Stanford clinical research fellowship in stereotactic radiosurgery. Her practice focuses on CNS, thoracic, and GI tumors. Dr. Verges graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona in 1980 and moved to Boston (USA) to conduct basic research in ophthalmology, obtaining a PhD in Biology from Harvard University and defending his doctoral thesis on the mechanisms of tear secretion, which would become the basis for understanding the pathology of dry eye syndrome (thesis presented in Barcelona, ​​1983) and which earned him the National Research Prize (1983).

Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abdelhakim is Head of Radiation Oncology at Shefa al Orman Hospital, Luxor. He is Professor of Radiation Oncology at the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University. He previously served as Associate Professor (2015–2020), Lecturer (2010–2015), Assistant Lecturer (2003–2009), and Resident (2000–2003). He also worked as a Specialist at Gharbia Cancer Society.

He treats inpatients and outpatients with breast, soft tissue sarcoma, lymphoma, gynecologic, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and CNS tumors. His skills include image-guided brachytherapy, IMRT, VMAT, SRS, and SBRT. He performs conventional and CT-based planning and 3D-CRT. He works with cobalt and linear accelerators and electron beam therapy. He provides HDR and LDR intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy. Professor Jair Bar, MD, PhD, is a thoracic oncologist and Deputy Director of the Cancer Center at Sheba Medical Center. He leads the Thoracic Oncology Unit. He treats lung cancer, including advanced non-small cell cases. His care includes medical oncology, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.

He runs a translational research lab focused on resistance to immunotherapy. He has published on exhaled-breath cancer metabolism and on angiogenesis inhibition in lung cancer.

He is an expert in advanced radiation therapy and radiosurgery. He performs stereotactic radiosurgery for brain tumors. He leads Sheba’s GI Cancer Program in gastrointestinal oncology.
